GRHF Events Team brings the 80s back

Guests were taken back to the 80s as they embraced neon, acid wash, big hair and the best of Madonna on November 4.  The Grand Social Series: Eighties Edition was held at Maxwell’s Concerts and Events where guests enjoyed enticing finger foods, sweet treats, on-site fundraising games, breakdancers and a video dance party.

The newest Grand Event raised more than $40,000 to help GRH purchase a RetCam for NICU. A RetCam is a specialized, vision-screening medical device that provides vision scans of high-risk babies to detect physiological changes in the eye. This equipment will enable GRH staff to adequately diagnose and treat our youngest patients at the very earliest stages.

The Grand Social Series was a huge success raising funds and creating buzz. “Amber (Bernard) and the team pulled off an incredible fundraiser that won’t be soon forgotten. I invited friends that were not sure what to expect and everyone was blown away by the attention to detail that authentically captured the 80s era and made for a great night, ” said Jeff Horst, GRHF Board of Governors member, “I’m excited to see what’s next!”

Thank you to Mawer Investment Management, Obsidian Group Inc., Transit and all sponsors for helping make The Grand Social Series: Eighties Edition a hit.
