GRH Volunteer Association donates $200,000 to patient care during National Volunteer Week.
On Monday, April 8 Grand River Hospital Volunteer Association presented Grand River Hospital Foundation with a donation of $200,000 to support patient care. Many volunteers and staff gathered in GRH’s KW campus cafeteria to celebrate this achievement.
“To have money that is unrestricted, like this, will go towards where the hospital most urgently needs it to help patients and that is amazing. I think the volunteers understand that more than anyone,” said Susan McKenzie, Director of Development at Grand River Hospital Foundation.
Proceeds were raised through volunteer-run businesses at the hospital, such as Tim Hortons and the gift shops. Thank you to the more than 1,000 volunteers for your compassionate care, we are proud to recognize you during #NationalVolunteerWeek.
