How do I make a donation to Grand River Hospital Foundation?
There are many ways to donate.

In Person: You may bring your donation to the Foundation office located in the Kaufman Building (40 Green St. Room 423) of Grand River Hospital. We accept cash, cheque, debit and credit card (VISA, MasterCard, American Express). Office hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 4:30pm. Call ahead for holiday hours at 519-749-4205.
Outside of our business hours, please note that there are donation drop boxes outside of the Foundation office, in the lobby of the KW Site and near the Real General Store at Freeport.
By Phone: You may make your donation over the phone by credit card. Office hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 4:30pm.

Where is the GRH Foundation office located?

What are your hours?
The Foundation office is open 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday to Friday. Please call us to check our hours on holidays at 519-749-4205.
If I’m writing a cheque, who do I make it out to?
Cheques should be made payable to Grand River Hospital Foundation with a notation as to the area of the Hospital that you would like to direct your donation.
Can I designate a gift to a specific service within the hospital?
Yes, you can designate a gift to one of the hospital’s 15 services and programs. If you have a more specific designation in mind, please contact us at 519-749-4205 or by email email@example.com
Gifts without a designation are gratefully accepted, as they can be used for the hospital’s most current urgent needs.
What do my donor dollars support when I make a gift to the Grand River Hospital Foundation?
Specifically your donor dollars support:
- Medical equipment and technology
- Construction and renovation projects for patient care
- Local clinical and health research and education
Your contributions do not support the day-to-day operations of the hospital
(eg. wages, salaries, heat, hydro, maintenance etc.). The Ontario Ministry of Health and Long Term Care pays for these expenses.
How can I update/change my address or email address?
You can make changes/corrections to your address information using the our Donor Information Change form. Please allow 15 business days to allow us to update our records accordingly. If you prefer not to use our online form please e-mail your changes to firstname.lastname@example.org or call our office at 519-749-4205.

How can I update my monthly giving information?
You can update your monthly giving information by phoning our office at 519-749-4205 or emailing your changes to email@example.com.
How do I sign up for monthly giving?
Monthly donations can be withdrawn from your bank account or credit card on the 1st or 15th of the month. To sign up, click here.

Can I get a tax receipt for a donation of any amount?
Yes. Tax receipts are issued in accordance with Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) guidelines. Our charitable business number is 88918 0394 RR 0001.
How do you use my email address?
Email is a cost effective way to communicate with you, and keep you up to date on Foundation events and hospital news. Please send us your email address or update your email address at email@example.com.
How do I opt-out of receiving mail or email from Grand River Hospital Foundation?
If you wish to be removed from our mailing list, simply contact us at 519-749-4205 or via email at firstname.lastname@example.org. Please allow 15 business days to update our records accordingly.
Do you make your mailing list available to other organizations?
Grand River Hospital Foundation does not rent, sell or trade our mailing lists. The information you provide will be used to deliver services and to keep you informed and up-to-date about the activities of Grand River Hospital Foundation, including programs, services, special events, funding needs, opportunities to volunteer or to give, open houses and more through periodic contacts.
If at any time you wish to be removed from any of these contacts simply contact us by phone at (519) 749-4205 or via e-mail at email@example.com , and we will gladly accommodate your request. Please allow 15 business days to update our records accordingly.
Does Grand River Hospital offer a vendor program?
Yes. Grand River Hospital Foundation is responsible for overseeing the vendor program at K-W and Freeport Health Centres. Through the Foundation, external vendors are invited to come into the Hospital and sell their goods in the main lobby, with a portion of the proceeds coming back to the Foundation.

What is the deadline for Income Tax Receipts?
In order to receive an income tax receipt, donations must be received by December 31 of any given year.
If you’re sending your gift by mail, all donations must be post marked on or before December 31. Any donations postmarked after January 1 will be receipted for the following calendar year. Online donations must be received by 11:59pm on December 31.
