Thank you Ross and Doris Dixon Charitable Foundation for gift to Children's Mental Health
	Thank you BMO!  Susan Brown and Janet Peddigrew of BMO present a gift to Jim Kearns, GRHF Vice Chair from proceeds of the April, 2011 BMO event with Dr. Amy D'Aprix, BMO Financial Group's Retirement Transition Expert.   This gift will be used for a new ultrasound unit in medical imaging at GRH.              Arthur and Ella Witt lived modest, hard-working lives.  Arthur, a veteran of the Second World War, worked in manufacturing as a foreman and administrator.  Ella was a homemaker, and is remembered as a loving and caring mother.   After Art and Ella passed away, their children wanted to do something for Grand River Hospital in honour of their parents, and in gratitude for the excellent care provided to Art during his final months.  They chose to make a leadership gift in support of patient intravenous pumps and education for Freeport staff. Grand River Hospital Foundation is grateful for their generosity.
	Thank you The Zonta Club of Kitchener-Waterloo for your generous gift through the 2011 Betty Thompson Golf Classic.  The gift will be used to fund ultrasound biopsy probes for the Waterloo Wellington Breast Centre at our Freeport Site.
	Thank you TD Bank Financial Group TD Grants for Medical Excellence is supporting Grand River Hospital’s obstetrical program, ensuring that our staff has the tools and resources they need to provide exceptional care.   With 4,300 births annually, GRH has one of the largest birthing programs in the province.  Their gift will make a tremendous difference to the women and newborns who rely on the care provided by our staff.   TD Bank Financial Group is committed to investing in the future by helping to ensure that nurses and other practicing caregivers have access to funds to upgrade their skills or further their education.  As a result, TD has established the TD Grants in Medical Excellence, which will provide funding for educational courses that contribute to the professional development of nurses or other practicing caregivers at regional and community hospitals or other health care facilities.
