Does the Foundation serve the KW site, GRRCC, and the Freeport site?

A:
The Foundation supports the financial needs of Grand River Hospital's KW Site, Freeport Site, as well as Grand River Regional Cancer Centre.

Can I get a tax receipt for a donation of any amount?

A:
Yes. Tax receipts are issued in accordance with Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) guidelines. Our charitable business number is 88918 0394 RR 0001.

How do I sign up for monthly giving?

A:
Bank Account Withdrawals:
You can mail the Foundation a void cheque along with instructions of how much you would like to donate, and whether you would like the donation to be withdrawn on the 1st or 15th of the month.

Credit Card:
Please forward your credit card number to the Foundation along with how much you would like to donate on a monthly basis, and whether you would like the donation to be withdrawn on the 1st or 15th of the month.

How do I opt-out of receiving mail from Grand River Hospital Foundation?

If you wish to be removed from our mailing list, simply contact us at 519 749-4205 or via e-mail at info@grhosp.on.ca . Please allow 15 business days to update our records accordingly.

Q:
Does Grand River Hospital offer a vendor program?

A:
Grand River Hospital Vendor Program

Yes. Grand River Hospital Foundation is responsible for overseeing the vendor program at K-W and Freeport Health Centres. Through the Foundation, external vendors are invited to come into the Hospital and sell their goods in the main lobby, with a portion of the proceeds coming back to the Hospital. Funds raised through the program are designated for patient care equipment and Hospital redevelopment projects.

Q:
What is the deadline for Income Tax Receipts?

A:
In order to receive an income tax receipt, donations must be received by December 31 of any given year. Donations are accepted in the following ways:

By Postal Mail
In order to receive an income tax receipt, all donations must be post marked on or before December 31. Any donations postmarked after January 1 will be receipted for the following calendar year.

In Person
You may bring your donation to the Foundation office located in the Kaufman Building (40 Green St.) of Grand River Hospital. We accept cash, cheque and credit card (VISA, MasterCard, American Express). Office hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 4:30pm. Call ahead for holiday hours.

By Phone
You may make your donation over the phone by credit card. Office hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 4:30pm.

Online
Donations can be received online at https://www.grhf.org/donate_online.asp . In order to qualify for a 2009 income tax receipt, the donation must be received by 11:59pm on December 31, 2009.

Donation of Securities
The stock must be received by the Foundation's broker by December 31 in order to be eligible for a 2009 receipt. Please fill email us at info@grhf.org if you would like further information on donating a gift of securities or contact 519-749-7205 for more information.
